Speakers

Dale and Jena Forehand

Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center is proud to host Dale & Jena Forehand of Stained Glass Ministries for our inaugural “Together at the Lake” Marriage Conference, April 6-7, 2018 with Date night April 7-8. Dale and Jena are the founders of Stained Glass and Living Deeper Ministries. Their ministries were birthed out of the death, burial and resurrection of their own marriage. After an 8 1/2 year marriage, they found themselves in a 15 month custody battle which culminated in a divorce. Several months later, changed by God’s grace, they re-married each other in December of 1997. their journey has created a passion to help men, women and marriages discover the abundant life in Christ, empowering them to fulfill their purpose individually and in their sphere of influence. Worship Leaders

Cole and Kelsey Forehand

Cole and Kelsey Forehand might be the biggest Disney fans you will ever meet! Some might call it a mild obsession, but they call it zealous enjoyment! When they aren’t on a Disney vacation, they’re probably planning their next one. Their dog Hugo is, in their professional opinion, the greatest dog to have ever dogged and they will happily show you 10,000 pictures of him whether you ask or not. Cole and Kelsey have a passion for all things culinary and can work a Zagat guide like few others. They both serve on the worship staff at their home church, New River, in Weatherford, Tx and are pretty huge fans of all things Fort Worth. When they have a day off you will probably find them driving to Waco for coffee at Common Grounds and Gaines stalking at Magnolia Market. Cole and Kelsey know that believer’s are at their strongest when they are worshipping in full surrender. Their greatest hope whenever they are blessed to lead from a platform is to invite Holy Spirit to move among His people as the name of Jesus is elevated.

Seminar Leaders

Scott & Dawn

Scott & Dawn

Breakout Leaders

Scott and Dawn have been fans of change since their college days. And by change, we mean pennies, dimes, quarters, etc…. They came together scraping up pennies to buy nachos and “Death Dogs” at the Time Saver close to the Georgia Southern campus in Statesboro, Ga. They still consider it a score to find change on the sidewalks and parking lots of the South. They are big fans of their kids, Hannah, Reese and Claire and the young married couples in their Sunday School class. Scott and Dawn love their “Field Trip Fridays” and believe couples that play together, stay together. Couples and community are their passions. They are committed to building into the next generation of leaders and coaching them to make their faith an everyday reality in their lives.

Kyle and Shawna Wortham

Kyle and Shawna Wortham

Breakout Leaders

Kyle and Shawna are passionate about Jesus, family, and fun…in that order. They have three beautiful children who are truly the joy of their life: Callie (21), Audrey (17), and Chance (10). After fighting for the first 10 years of marriage, they decided that life would be much more fun if they would chase after Jesus and all that He has for them. They are passionate about helping others find FREEDOM in Christ by calling forth their true identity and the dreams that He has planted in them.

They love good food, adventure, traveling, movies, college football, and guitars (Kyle loves guitars…Shawna loves Kyle and is still developing her love for guitars).

Tom and Karen

Tom and Karen Hudgins

Breakout Leaders

As they reflect back on their marriage, they remember their premarital counseling (1983) when the counselor told them they would never make it because their strengths were the same and their weaknesses were the same. Tom and Karen said “so we decided to CHANGE COUNSELORS”! Thirty-three years later, they have three daughters and sons-in-law who have blessed them with three grandsons. Tom and Karen attribute their success in balancing ministry and family to the consistency and commitment they made to their marriage. They have had a consistent date night for decades and enjoy holding hands and walking down the beautiful white beaches of the gulf coast. When not facetiming with their grandkids, they enjoy all things music, cooking out, playing tennis together, and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, but they say any bike will do.
